Pros: Most comfortable seats in town outside the cinebarre. Easy to get in and out at this location. Right in front of a great Mexican restaurant. Movies here are more of the indie type so attendance isn't as high and seems a bit more cultured and less apt to interrupt your movie experience. Like most Regals in the area the theater is clean. You're going to be able to see movies at this location that some cities the same size as Knoxville wouldn't have playing.
Cons: This theater is older and does not have stadium seating, but the seats are way more comfortable than the ones they have at the Riviera and Pinnacle. Unless you are at a super crowded movie the seating here is superb. Sometimes the concessions are limited and they do seem to run out of things, and the pretzels at this location are not great.
Older theater, but well kept. I saw a weekday noontime movie. The theater was almost empty. The staff were pleasant and treated me very well. The popcorn was fresh, and the theater and restroom were very clean.
I'm mostly confused by the experience I just had here. There was about 20 minutes of commercials before the movie (in lieu of actual movie previews) and they kept repeating the same ones. So odd. Then 2 women kept walking in asking if the movie was over yet. Not sure if they were behind on schedule?finally, in a dramatic scene in the movie I was seeing, you could hear whatever was going on in the theater next to us at almost a louder volume. A weird experience, would not recommend this one.
Like the movie theaters of my 80s childhood. Nostalgia. Laid-back vibe before the ugly mega-multiplex cinemas took over. Excellent popcorn. I had trouble with my Regal app so I was getting frustrated bc I wanted my free popcorn with my points, but Barry helped me and made my day. He's the concessions guy who really helped. Much appreciated. Will definitely return. Saw the Barbie movie on a Thursday night absolutely loved the lack of crowds. My movie was just me + a 6-pack of millennial females all dressed in pink. Felt like a private screening. Sweet. And yes, the Barbie movie is cheesy but surprisingly good. Update 9/18/23: awful lines and slow, understaffed concessions area. One line should be clearly evident and for ticket checking only. The entire process and logistics must be improved.
What a great little theater
Feels like when I was a kid.
Went to "Route 60" which was very fascinating.
People applauded at the end which is always fun to see. I would recommend the theater and the movie.
Well, #1 the tickets and concessions are as expensive as other theaters that are much nicer (the seats didn’t recline or heat compared to West town mall or oak ridge)…
#2 we waited in line for about 30 minutes for concessions while Atleast 2 workers were just standing there talking. Finally got to the counter just for him to tell us “we can’t take cash on this register” lol. so we went to the other line and waited 5-10 more minutes.. missed about 15-20 min of the movie, could hardly find our seats because there was no way to tell what row was what or anything
Its like a love hate relationship with this location. I enjoy it because its downtown so you can walk around and have plenty of food options but I also hate that its downtown riding thru traffic and finding parking. But I love that they have the cheetos popcorn. Not every location do.
This was our first visit to this movie theatre as we are about an hour away. My daughter and her friends were wanting to see the new Little Mermaid, but being a last minute thing most of the theatres closer to us were either sold out or didn't have seats available by one another. This theatre was small, but had man seats available and suited us just fine. Concessions were good, staff was friendly and helpful, and they serve beer as well.
